The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. Located in historic downtown Prescott, The Yavapai County Parking Deck is a two-story, enclosed and on-deck, 52,844-sf parking garage for the Yavapai County Administration and Law Enforcement Center. The parking deck has 147 parking spaces – 70 on deck and 77 existing below &#8211; including 16 sally port spaces and a secured entrance for transporting inmates. The upper level features a durable, long-lasting traffic coating to give an added layer of structural protection and surface longevity. Construction was completed while retaining an active sally port for the Yavapai County Sherriff’s office. The new parking deck provides ample space and improved traffic flow for those working and visiting the criminal justice center. Big-D Southwest teamed with Otwell Associates for this project. This architectural firm is the oldest in Prescott.

The Mohave County Superior Court project consists of a new four-story, 61,597-sf Superior Court building and associated 655-sf bridge, adjacent to the existing court. The lower floor will house public business while the second and third floors will contain the Clerk of Court offices, seven courtrooms and other related space. The top floor is intended for the judge’s chambers and staff areas. To support the building operations, a total of 4,329-sf will be allocated for staircases, elevators and janitor closets along with electrical, mechanical and central plant machine rooms. The historic courthouse and the new building will be connected by an enclosed corridor allowing travel from the second floor of the historic courthouse to the first floor of the new building. The Mohave County Courthouse was constructed in 1915 and has housed the Mohave County government for more than 70 years.
