The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Just as Big-D Construction seeks to be the most sought-after construction company in the business, the Lindon office has a similar goal of being the number one construction company in Utah County.

Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. Originally dubbed the 9th and 9th Apartments, Nexus on 9th is a mixed-use, multi-family project which stands three stories in the heart of the 9th and 9th District. The ground level features three retail spaces, a common area for apartment residents, and a single-story, 24-stall, below-grade parking podium. The second and third floors feature a combination of 28 high-end 1-and 2-bedroom apartment units. The residences include balconies or rooftop patios with mountain views. The apartment building also features main-level common area amenity spaces which included a fitness facility, bike storage, private dining, and gathering space. The design team incorporated light colored metal panels with contrasting warm natural wood to bring a modern flair to the exterior and windows were strategically placed to provide an abundance of natural light in each unit.

Hardware Village Apartments were completed under two separate contracts in a joint venture with Kier Construction. The project is a new, luxury multi-family and mixed-use community in downtown Salt Lake City that includes two six-story multi-family buildings and a seven-story parking structure with commercial and office space. Hardware Village residences range from apartments to townhomes and condominiums. The west building was completed first and includes 265 units, followed by the east building which includes another 186 units. The Hardware Village community included construction of numerous resident amenities like a rooftop clubhouse and infinity pool, a library with lounge/bar, state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga room, billiards room with oversized video wall, multiple conference rooms, parlor room, and a courtyard with tiered fountains. Materials, finishes and furnishings are all exceptionally high-end with elements like designer fixtures, polished concrete floors, over height solid core doors, quartz countertops, and Anderson windows.
