Fort Bliss Fire & Military Police Station

Fort Bliss Fire & Military Police Station

The Consolidated Fire, Safety and Security building is a new, LEED Silver certified emergency services center with consolidated dispatch and emergency response systems for both the fire station and military police. The Police Station includes a detention area with two holding cells, two isolation cells, three Army Standard D cells, breathalyzer rooms, interview rooms, and a booking room. The lobby is protected by bulletproof glass and the building is surrounded by a six-foot-tall chain link fence with barbed wire to secure the vehicular sally port for prisoner transfer, military police vehicle parking, and tactical equipment storage areas. The Fire Station includes an apparatus bay, living quarters, Station Chief offices, fire station support, and office and meeting space for the Directorate of Emergency Services and Military Administration. A 100-person training room is shared by the departments within the facility. The project also included an exterior tactical vehicle storage area and uninterruptible power supply units to protect critical functions, with a standby diesel generator and a redundant communication system.
