The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. On every project, our priorities include strengthening local economies and creating jobs for existing residents by supporting local merchants, vendors, suppliers, and retailers.

The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Just as Big-D Construction seeks to be the most sought-after construction company in the business, the Lindon office has a similar goal of being the number one construction company in Utah County.

Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. Today, Big-D Ogden serves as both the northern Utah regional office and the homebase of our Big-D National Food &amp; Beverage division. Nearly 95% of Big-D Ogden’s projects are from longstanding repeat clients and their footprint continues to grow for their Food &amp; Beverage unit across the U.S.

Set across 11,129-sf, Dignity Health ER and Urgent Care in Litchfield Park is a fully equipped ground up, single-story, slab-on-grade, metal frame, fully sprinkled, 24-hour outpatient emergency medical care facility. Design features a stucco masonry veneer façade and TPO roof. Big-D Southwest teamed up with E4H Architecture for this 10-month project due to the firm’s acute understanding of healthcare environments and flexible, innovative space creation. The facility offers the same level of care found in a hospital including a CT scanner, digital X-ray and ultrasound. Having a separate ER from the hospital allows Dignity Health to reduce patient wait times and ensure the best care for each patient. Construction also included a retail siteworks package surrounding the facility as much of the land was not developed prior to this endeavor.

The University of Utah Health network provides health services across the State of Utah. Its main location at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City provides a number of services and access to some of the best physicians and researchers in the nation. As the population of Utah continues to grow, so does the need for healthcare. To accommodate the growing need, the U of U Health and Big-D Construction built a new 5-story health clinic in the community of Sugar House.
The new medical office building offers patient’s world-class services including family medicine, internal medicine, cardiac care, and women’s services.
