The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Just as Big-D Construction seeks to be the most sought-after construction company in the business, the Lindon office has a similar goal of being the number one construction company in Utah County.

Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. Avient (formally known as Clariant Plastics &amp; Coatings) is a global provider of sustainable solutions for the plastics industry including the manufacturing of solid plastic color concentration additives, colorants and stabilizers. Project construction provided tenant improvements to their existing facility in Phoenix, AZ. The scope of the work was completed in multiple phases and was comprised of an approximately 6,500-sf interior enhancement. The renovation upgraded and improved their existing operations allowing more precise equipment installation for their Liquid Plastic Color dispenser. Blending bays were also added for their color blending process. In addition to their warehouse, teams performed minor renovations to the facility office space. Avient Plastics is one of the top specialty chemical producers in the country.

Morton Commerce Center is a four-building industrial development on a 30-acre site, situated between Silicon Valley and Oakland. It’s comprised of state-of-the-art buildings that were designed and constructed for flexibility and the ability for tenants to “super park” for companies with large numbers of employees. Buildings feature skylights for ample natural light, extensive glass lines, 30- to 32-foot clear height and numerous dock doors, an ESFR sprinkler system, roofs with 100% solar capacity, exterior workspaces to encourage productivity and employee collaboration, and office space and office-to-suit capacity. All buildings are equipped with heavy power, ideal for tenants involved in advanced automation; contract manufacturing and assembly; 3D printing; food manufacturing and preparation; life science research and development; biotechnology; automotive supply chain functions; aerospace and defense work; and autonomous driving. Big-D’s scope of work also included miscellaneous offsite improvements; curbing, traffic signal installation, etc.
